Cazimi are a bunch of wizened old bastards that make awesome music. They have been described as “Not so much the illegitimate sons, but the genetically engineered progeny of luminaries such as Magazine, The Bunnymen, The Stranglers, Hawkwind, Killing Joke, John Barry and Erik Satie”. Bullshit? Maybe.
Cazimi have been played on Tom Robinson’s Mixtape and his Saturday show as well as local radio plays by Nicky Roberts at BBC Newcastle. The band released their debut album 'Late in the Day' in 2020 which is available on CD as well as through AWAL via Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, TIDAL etc.
The band are set to release a whole bunch of stuff in 2022 starting with the single Echo in June, the video for which can be found in the VIDEO tab above. Echo was mastered by the renowned Pete Maher (Pixies, Nick Cave, Jack White) and arranged by Cazimi in collaboration with Steve Wallace of Penetration.
The band have a number of live shows lined up and you can keep up to date with that at the link below. Having just played a gig with Imperial Wax (formerley The Fall) the band look forward to sharing the stage with the mighty Punishment of Luxury amongst others.
