From Sunderland and Newcastle, Cazimi are a trio of post-punk misfits that play in-between music. They have been described as “Not so much the illegitimate sons, but the genetically engineered progeny of luminaries such as Magazine, The Bunnymen, The Stranglers, Hawkwind, Killing Joke, John Barry and Erik Satie”. Bullshit? Maybe.
Cazimi have been played on Tom Robinson’s Mixtape and his Saturday show as well as local radio plays by Nicky Roberts at BBC Newcastle. The band released their debut album 'Late in the Day' in 2020 and 'Signals' EP in 2022, both of which are available on CD as well as through AWAL via Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, TIDAL etc.
The band have done a number of gigs this year most notably supporting the awesome Wasted Youth at The Georgian Theatre in Stockton. The video for the forthcoming single Foul Play has been released on YouTube (go to the video link on this website). The single itself will be released on July 24th across all the major streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
The next step is to release a new album for 2025 which has been completed and fully mastered.
